Hussam Abu Issa is the Vice Chairman and Chief Operating Officer of Salam International, a Qatar-based conglomerate publicly listed on the Qatar Exchange. He is also the deputy managing director of Salam Holdings. He serves as a Board Director of Salam Bounian Development Co., a large real estate development firm, and Doha Insurance Co.

He is a member of the Advisory Boards of the Qatar Chamber of Commerce, College of Business and Economics – University of Qatar, Buck Institute for Research on Aging (Novato-California), AMIDEAST (Lebanon), and International Cooperation Platform “ICP” (Istanbul). He also serves as a member of the Qatari Businessmen Association, GCC Islamic Chamber of Commerce, GCC Industrial Promotion Council, GCC Chamber of Commerce Manufacturing Committee, and Harris School of Public Policy’s Dean International Council – University of Chicago

Mr. Abu Issa has a Bachelor’s Degree in Marketing from the San Diego State University
